Social & Educational Events

Sustainable Green Country believes that developing relationships among diverse groups is necessary to facilitate grassroots action, enabling our region to move toward greater sustainability. We also believe that “community” should begin within our group so that it may be reflected in our larger purpose. In that vein, SGC hosts a variety of educational events and social networking opportunities.

Sustainable Green Country hosts a variety of events on a wide-ranging variety of sustainability topics, providing many opportunities to learn and share together. Events may include discussion forums, educational workshops, speakers or hands-on projects. Watch our website for details!

Green Drinks

SGC hosts Green Drinks, an informal opportunity for people interested in sustainability to meet and discuss their interests over cocktails.

Coffee Chat

Do you have some flexibility in your schedule? Come lounge and sip coffee over interesting conversation—help us solve the world’s problems before noon! Join us the fourth Friday of every month.

Film Club

Sustainable Green Country partners with other organizations to show a variety films on topics of sustainability and the environment. All the films have something valuable to communicate about where we are, questioning where we want to be, and offer some insight into thinking outside the box for productive social change.
